Stu Silverman

Chief Executive Officer

CEO Stu Silverman, son of Maintex founder Ralph Silverman, has worked full time for Maintex since earning his JD in 1976 at Southwestern University School of Law. As CEO, he is responsible for administration and day-to-day operations of the fast-growing company. An expert thought leader, Stu has guided the company through a period of rapid growth, and has implemented many new systems to advance Maintex. Among other innovations, he has invested in the most advanced cleaning technologies and equipment, shaping a high-performance workforce that has access to the best tools in the industry.

Stu continues to build the company’s revenues and its outstanding reputation as an industry leader, and is developing a long-term strategic plan for Maintex that will implement further improvements to the organization. A cum laude graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles, Stu also holds a Masters in Business Administration from Pepperdine University. He has served as a longtime board member of Temple Beth Sholom in Santa Ana.

Linda Silverman

President

Linda Silverman, daughter of Maintex founder Ralph Silverman, grew up working at the company during summer vacations and is familiar with the company’s many operations. She officially joined the family owned business in 1978 as a salesperson. Soon thereafter, Linda was very successful in getting large new accounts by making professional presentations that set new standards for the company and in the industry. Linda’s technical expertise and customer service approach quickly made Maintex the go-to source for cleaning supplies for major customers throughout the region. She and her brother continue to deepen the firm’s partner relationships with vendors, suppliers and trade groups while expanding the company’s product lines and markets segments.

Today, Linda is known nationally as a pioneer in the cleaning industry. With a notable gift for sales and marketing as well as an understanding of effective management, Linda has been instrumental in establishing a culture of service, stability and longevity in the Maintex sales force.

Named President of Maintex in 2010, Linda continues to be active and engaged in a number of leading professional associations and is dedicated to opening doors for women in the industry. Her leadership position in the industry includes serving as the second female President and International Director of ISSA, the Worldwide Cleaning Industry Association, served two terms as Secretary of the ISSA Foundation, is a past Chair of the ISSA Quality Standards Committee, and is a current board and founding member of the Hygieia Network for the advancement of women in the cleaning industry. She is also a recipient of the Jack Ramaley Award. Linda earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Brian Goad

Vice President and General Manager, Poway Division

Brian Goad joined Maintex in 2014 as VP of Sales and General Manager. He focuses his efforts on the acquisition of new business, vertical alignment of the sales process and building strategic relationships. Based in Poway, Brian is also responsible for overseeing the Maintex San Diego sales force and local operations. A former sales director for GOJO Industries (Western Region), Brian has also held executive positions in sales and business development for a number of public and private companies, doing business in more than 20 countries throughout Europe and Asia. He earned his BS in Mechanical Engineering at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Brian is active in the industry, and has served on the Board of Directors of the Southern California Sanitary Supply Association (SCSSA).

Carol Dell’Aquila

Vice President of Sales

With more than 38 years of experience in the industry, Carol Dell’Aquila oversees a large sales force for Maintex, ensuring that the team meets sales and service goals, year over year, contributing to the successful growth for Maintex ongoing. Dedicating her career to help grow Maintex, Carol rose in the ranks in a number of positions, including customer service, purchasing, as a sales consultant, and then as sales manager. She was appointed Maintex Director of Sales more than 10 years ago. Carol has served as a longtime member of the Board of Directors and past President of the Southern California Sanitary Supply Association (SCSSA). She is CIMS (Cleaning Industry Management Standard) Certified, and is one of the Worldwide Cleaning Industry Association (ISSA)’s California CIMS Experts.

Jose Guerrero

Vice President of Operations

As VP of Operations for Maintex, Jose Guerrero is responsible for overseeing all aspects of manufacturing including product planning, logistics, asset management, customer satisfaction, and product development. He began his career as a production lead, an experience that formed the foundation of his passion for great service and performance. With professional expertise in strategic planning, continuous improvement and system applications, Jose brings a disciplined approach and high standard of operational excellence to the company’s operations. His previous positions have included serving as production supervisor, master scheduler, operations manager, assistant mechanical engineer and machine shop apprentice.

Ali Abyane

Technical Director/Chemist

Ali Abyane has been technical director/chief chemist for Maintex for more than 25 years. He is responsible for research and development, optimization of existing formulas, overseeing quality control, batch processing, safety training, and regulatory compliance. Considered to be one of the industry’s leading chemists, Ali collaborates on an ongoing basis with the Maintex sales team by developing custom client formulas, applicable product labels and related marketing materials. He earned his BS in Chemical Engineering from the College of Higher Education in Southampton, UK, and his MS from City of London Polytechnic, UK. A career-long member of the American Chemical Society, his experience includes projects for NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory and the U.S. Armed Services through an analytical and engineering laboratory.

Jerry Zacarias

Manager – Graphics/Digital Services

Graphic Manager Jerry Zacarias brings more than 12 years of experience and a passionate commitment to his work as art director and designer for Maintex and clients’ product brand images and labels. He transforms required label information into visual, graphic statements that convey branded, marketing messages. Jerry oversees the Maintex art department, and is responsible for managing in-house creative teams and day-to-day creative studio operations, and for graphic design, innovative ideas, illustration, and photography art direction.

Ted Norimatsu

Director of Purchasing

Ted Norimatsu joined Maintex as Director of Purchasing after holding positions in purchasing management and merchandising. Earlier in his career, he worked in hospitality management. He is responsible for negotiating with vendors to achieve competitive pricing and service guarantees for Maintex, as well as establishing and continuously reviewing minimum/maximum levels for all products and sales. Ted oversees the maintaining of adequate inventory levels at all company sites, in addition to identifying and developing new supply sources, screening new products, and recommending products for review by ownership and the sales force. He earned his BS from California Polytechnic University at Pomona’s School of Business.
